La Cité Bouge ! unfolds as a vibrant dance space, deeply rooted in its local community, inviting its audience to take part in new choreographic experiences. Compagnie Relevant

Compagnie Relevant is a Lyon-based collective of five choreographers and performers. All discovered dance through cultural outreach programmes — in schools, youth clubs or community centres. After winning the International Hip Hop Games in 2018, the company created its first piece, UPSHOT, in co-production with the Art Track company. It was officially established in 2021 and became an associate artist of the CCNR under the direction of Yuval Pick from 2022 to 2024, during which time it developed a second production, STAND OUT, whilst leading numerous cultural outreach projects. Drawing on its origins and history, the company is deeply committed to promoting dance education and accessibility among school, extracurricular, hospital and prison audiences. Its creative work is rooted in contemporary social themes, informed by the individual and collective experiences of its members. Born out of a long-standing friendship, the company’s work is characterised by strong cohesion and creative synergy, using dance as a space to explore issues of diversity, identity and community, and offering audiences a sensitive and intimate perspective on human relationships and life in society.
