autour d'OUTSIDER

This workshop will explore dance as a form of self-defence and healing, and singing as a way of expressing oneself. Through voice and dance work, Julie Nioche, Miléna Gilabert and Orion Socquet invite participants to collectively share some of the practices used in OUTSIDER, a piece that examines the power of dance as a response to sexual and gender-based violence.

Pratiquer : Hoeing tenderness

Pratiquer: Hoeing tenderness is a workshop exploring and imagining gestures of tenderness and affection that emerge from gardening practices. Together, we will experiment active forms of tenderness that value rest, slowness and observation, revealing interdependence and nurturing processes of reconnection and perception. Steve Paxton's work as a gardener, through his study of spiral movements, will be used as a basis.

BMC KRUMP is not a method, it is a meeting point. Krump and somatic practices may seem distant in terms of their energies, rhythms, history and socio-cultural origins, but they also have things in common that allow them to connect, question and enhance each other. ‘Krump is spiritual, Krump is a tool, Krump is therapy, Krump is an escape, Krump is a weapon, and it's a weapon that helps you break down all the barriers that hold us back in life.’ Lil C, one of the five creators of Krump in Los Angeles.
