Exploring movement through increasingly complex relationships and co-ordinations between the different structures of the body and space. Crossing creative and technical issues in a diversity of forms, rhythms, qualities and relationships.
Sylvain Huc
After studying history and art history at university, Sylvain Huc discovered contemporary dance. A performer himself, he began his first work as a choreographer in 2010, laying the foundations for a singular approach that focuses on the body, its states, its consistency in close interaction with its environment. His most striking works include Boys don't cry, Sujets, his solo LEX, Nuit and Wonderland. Although he places the body at the centre of all his work, Sylvain Huc likes to relate it to a context of sound and light, in which it unfolds in alternately learned and wild ways. In 2023, he will co-write and perform a duet with Thiago Granato, The lost pieces. In 2025, he will co-write La vie nouvelle with Mathilde Olivares, a duet for the Montpellier Danse festival.
