Postural and gestural optimization for dancers - lower limb

Certain movements contribute to the onset of frequent pathologies in dancers' lower limbs (stress fractures, ankle sprains, patellofemoral syndrome or hip impingement). This workshop will look at ways to optimize the prevention of these pathologies, through a better understanding of anatomy and a search for the right gesture.

Hold your center and work on your alignment with active sheathing

This workshop will provide an opportunity to work on various exercises that will help dancers feel how to hold their center and solidify their alignment, using small equipment. Participants will explore how to optimize the search for the right gesture in dance practice.

Warm-up and recovery for dancers
With Santiago Del Valle
Choreographic aesthetics, technical demands, work rhythms, physical condition or the existence of an injury will determine the importance of warm-up and specific, individualized recovery. An analysis of the articular, muscular, cardio-respiratory, proprioceptive and mental dimensions will be addressed during this workshop, with principles of action and practical exercises to be implemented on a daily basis.
