“The need to remind others of the need for their presence”: this theme is woven into the fabric of Saïdo Lehlouh’s career as a dancer and choreographer. Through Wild Cat (2014), Apaches (2019) and Témoin (2024), or alongside the Black Sheep company, Saïdo Lehlouh extends his specific touch to the generation of French breakers from which he comes, through a choreographic gesture entirely turned towards the group and sensitive relationships through movement.
Saïdo Lehlouh is a member of the FAIR-E Collective, co-director of CCNRB, associate artist at Théâtre de la Ville-Paris and Cratère, scène nationale d’Alès.
Although b-boying is at the root of Saïdo Lehlouh’s dance, the choreographer quickly broadened his playground to embrace many influences beyond hip-hop. Today, these influences nourish his various projects, whether solo, in pairs or as part of a collective, each time paying sincere attention to the diversity of paths and the notion of group. The many ways in which he embraces the game of improvisation fuel his work, which is based on the dynamics of deep listening and the impetus of encounters.
