Kader Attou
Kader Attou is a dancer, choreographer and the artistic director of Accrorap Company since 1989; he is one of the major figures in hip-hop dance. His work is contemporary and focuses on blending different cultures together, as well as a humanist commitment. In 2008, Attou was named director of the La Rochelle CCN, therefore becoming the first hip-hop choreographer to lead such an institution. In 2013, he was named chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres and in 2015 chevalier de l’Ordre National de la Légion d’Honneur. He and his company have been based in Marseille since 2022, and he has been associated artist with Scènes et Cinés, Scène conventionnée Art en territoire – Istres Ouest Provence.
