Opening of the Festival Le Temps d’aimer la danse / focus on the Caribbean.
Isabelle Calabre proposes this seminar on the theme of “Safekeeping and promoting Basque and Creole repertories: what is at stake and what are the new challenges?”. By comparing the aesthetics of different quadrilles, the seminar invites participants to interrogate the modalities and meanings in these successive reinventions, and proposes to map out the current state of research in the fields of Caribbean art and of the Basque territory.
