Maison de la danse de Lyon

Twelve groups - 150 dancers from Nantes, Boussay, Dunkerque, Athis-Mons, Paris, Nice, Saint-Leu-la-Forêt, Lézan, Tournan-en-Brie, Fresnes and Bordeaux - present excerpts from the choreographies they have chosen and from which they have been receiving, for a year or more, the imagination, the energies and qualities, the writing. For this 15th meeting, they are honoring thirteen choreographers who, gathered for this occasion, give to (re)see and appreciate the fragments of a history of dance (1915-2014, through a ballet originally created in 1846), namely Régine Chopinot (La Danse du temps), Christian and François Ben Aïm (La Légèreté des tempêtes), Ambra Senatore (Aringa Rossa), Olivier Dubois (Tragedy), Isadora Duncan (Polonaise militaire, Chants russes), Philippe Lafeuille (Cendrillon), Alwin Nikolais (Water Study), Ezio Schiavulli (Né d'entre les cuisses de la terre), Sylvain Groud (People), Rachid Ouramdane (Tout autour), Pierre Lacotte d'après Mazillier et Petipa (Paquita) and Mary Wigman (Totentanz I). A palette of dances that gives pride of place to modernity.
