Yves Godin is a lighting designer and since the early 1990s has collaborated on the projects of many choreographers, musicians and visual artists. His approach focuses on lighting design that is not dependent on dance, music or text, but that can resonate with the other components of the stage work. While light has an immaterial dimension, its practice can be eminently material. The aim of Making Light is to develop and sharpen the eye as well as the ability to make choices and implement means of action.
