Along with its partners, the CN D in Lyon is offering an invitation to examine the themes and professional issues that affect the performing arts.
As an extension of their “Cellules d’Essai”, collective moments for exchanges and artistic research organised in Lyon since 2018, Lola Maury and Benjamin Coyle are inviting the participants to reconsider the word “choreographer” in a world where hybridity occupies an increasingly large space. What is understood by the term “choreographer” today? How and why do artists either adopt it or reject it? Who feels at home here? If a professional reference were to be invented, what should it cover?
