Deepening the dialogue between the savours of a danced phrasing and choreographic gestural knowledge.
As a principal dancer at the Ballet of the Opéra National of Paris, Jean-Christophe Paré has a cross approach to the mastery of danced gestures. His practice of movement techniques takes in just as much historical dances as 20th-century ones, which he has in particular been able to explore them with the Groupe de Recherche Chorégraphique at the Opéra de Paris. He also includes in his teaching principles of movement organisation laid down by Wilfride Piollet and Odile Rouquet, including their research centred on the re-reading of the gestures using the tools of a functional analysis of the body in dancing motion.
