Contemporary / Engaged body, enraged body

“We are offering to share our conception of movement as a poetic act, revealing who we are, and who we could be. Between transmission, individual and collective composition, we propose a moment to decipher a gesture, codes, a grammar in resonance with the state of urgency of an engaged body.”

Aïcha M’Barek and Hafiz Dhaou were born in Tunis. They have lived and worked in Lyon since 2004. Both have been performers in the Tunisian company Sybel Ballet Théâtre. They trained at the CNDC in Angers. Hafiz Dhaou then joined the E.X.E.R.C.E at the CCN of Montpellier then danced with Abou Lagraa and Hela Fattoumi / Éric Lamoureux. Since 2005, they have produced a good twenty choreographic projects with their Compagnie Chatha. Intimacy, frontiers and social relations are powerful axes in their work.
