Enseigner la danse jazz is the result of a research work conducted for 2 years by jazz dance professionals (teachers and creative artists) in collaboration with the ‘Département du développement de la culture chorégraphique’ of the Centre national de la danse.
This book is a useful tool for anyone teaching and dancing that dance. Far from providing ready-made teaching methods, it presents the elements required to understand that art. It addresses, simply and accurately, the issues connected with its practice: technical specificities, studio practice, vocabulary. It also gives consideration to the culture with which jazz artists identify.
