AFCMD and notation of movement: feeling, reading and interpreting

Irénée Blin and Romain Panassié

Cancelled

Crossing through several extracts of choreographic works, reconstructed via the reading of scores crossed AFCMD workshops. Benesh and Laban notations each offer a particular point of view about movement, and a specific way to analyse it and lay it down on paper. As for the AFCMD, it tries to “flesh out signs” (in the words of Odile Rouquet), highlighting specific élans in a presence in order to move towards a sensitively bodily incarnation of writing.

A graduate of CNSMDP, Romain Panassié is a dancer, movement scorer and specialist teacher at the AFCMD. Irénée Blin is a choreographer, dancer, dance scorer and specialist at the AFCMD.
